Guru Nanak Sikh Gurdwara is pleased to partner with Gurdwara Sahib Sukh Sagar and Sikh Youth Global and launch our annual food bank collection drive. Many people do not realize the extent of hunger’s reach in Canada and that it affects all communities across the country. Each month, close to 900,000 Canadians are assisted by food .

On November 11th 2011, Guru Nanak Sikh Gurdwara continued on with the 2011 Gurpurab celebrations by organizing a homeless food drive. Volunteers led by the Gurdwara General Secretary, Jatinder Singh and committee member Gursimran Kaur, prepared the meal of Vegetable Rice, Lentil Curry, Rice Pudding and Tea. Once again in November 2011, the Sikh Community is collaborating together on a blood donation drive to commemorate the memory of the victims of Genocide 1984. This blood drive was started by the Sikh Community in November 1999 and as of the 2010 campaign, more than  55,000 lives in Canada have been saved.
