Take out 10 minutes to do your part in the fight against Breast Cancer.
The Sirf Dus Campaign aims to increase awareness as well as participation of the mammography program amongst members of the South Asian community living in the Lower Mainland. The literal translation of “Sirf Dus” is both “Only/Just Ten” as well as “Only/Just Tell”. We are asking South Asian women to:
- To give us 10 minutes of their time to talk about the importance of the mammography exam and early detection
- To take 10 minutes to go for mammography screening
- To take 10 minutes to talk to 10 friends about the importance of mammography screening
We know that since the introduction of screening mammography breast cancer related deaths have been decreased by 25%. We also know that many South Asian women do not take part in this FREE screening program.
FREE Breast Cancer Screening Appointments/Information: Dec 4th: 10am at Guru Nanak Sikh Gurdwara, Surrey.
